Oncidiums
can be found anywhere from the tropical jungles to high in the Andes. This New
World genus is extremely diverse and comes in many shapes, colors and sizes.
We feel they are quite exotic in appearance
WATER
Watering should be thorough and the medium should be almost dry before applying
more. Plants with large fleshy roots and leaves need less water. The watering
time can vary between two and ten days.
TEMPERATURE
The range is from 55 F nights to as high as 95 F as long as the humidity is
about 60% and air is able to move freely.
LIGHT
Oncidiums thrive in high light situations. However, being a versitile orchid,
they also do well in lower light areas such as a mall setting.
